Commander of the Order of Merit
Founder of Exporplás Group awarded the Commander of the Order of Merit.
On July 28, Orlando Sá, founder and president of Exporplás Group, was awarded one of the highest honours granted by the Portuguese State: the Commander of the Order of Merit.
The insignia was presented by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, during a ceremony that celebrated the remarkable journey of a man deeply connected to his homeland and to the development of the country.
Born in Cortegaça, in the municipality of Ovar, Orlando Sá has always stood out for his spirit of service, civic engagement, and for promoting the economic and social development of the region. His path includes decades of dedication as an entrepreneur, public servant, and philanthropist, always driven by a strong sense of purpose and commitment to his community.
This recognition is a source of great pride for all those who have walked alongside him – employees, partners, family, friends, and the people of Cortegaça – and stands as a testimony to the impact that leadership committed to the common good can have on the life of a community.
Being named Commander of the Order of Merit is an official acknowledgment of what has long been recognised by many: his example of integrity, dedication, and humanity.
Exporplás congratulates its founder and expresses the deepest gratitude for the legacy he continues to build.
Congratulations and thank you, Commander Orlando Sá.
